Rosemala

Nestled between Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea, Kerala is no stranger to eco tourism. Rosemala, a short distance away from the sleepy village of Aryankavu in Kollam, is a noteable eco tourism spot. Rosemala is named after the peculiar shape of its valley, that closely resembles the blooming of a rose flower. The dark forest path to Rosemala, meandering its way through hills and valleys is particularly noted for its alluring and enchanting beauty. Adding to the idyllic charm is the streams gushing forth from the mountains. No wonder the region is a hotspot of nature walkers. The culmination point of Rosemala trip is the Rosemala Watchtower. A climb to the tower, will give you a birds eyeview of the entire landscape, a sight in itself, and the distant, yet imposing Thenmala dam. Rosemala is an ideal spot for a one day picnic.
