India
The land of spices and ancient tales Beneath the British yoke, India wails But freedom fighters rise, bold and true With a fire in their hearts, they knew what to do
They fought for their rights, they fought for their land They fought for the future, hand in hand Gandhi, Nehru, Patel and more Led the struggle, they opened the door
To a free India, a nation reborn With the tricolor flag, proudly flown The British left, their rule undone And the people rejoiced, their victory won
August 15th, 1947, a day of pride India’s independence, a nation’s guide A new dawn, a new era began As India stood tall, a free nation.
